The 4 point antler restriction on bull elk has been in place for 15 years in our units. This has protected the young bulls, allowing them to grow older and smarter. It has proven to be a great herd builder, with many bulls each year living to be mature trophy class animals. This coupled with the remoteness of our area allows the dedicated hunter a real chance at collecting a trophy bull. We offer pack-in hunts in one of Colorado's limited license units as well as private land hunts in a guaranteed license area. We have been experiencing greater trophy potential each year with over half of our hunters taking bulls that were 5x6s or bigger. Colorado elk hunting has never been better.
